There’s a gap between our understanding of the reality of global environmental crises and what most people will say about it. This includes our leaders and many people working in ‘sustainability’. This independent website will take an informal look at ideas and perspectives on sustainability.
I have an engineering and technology background, and spent several years working in sustainability-related roles, and many years exploring sustainability issues.
The Climate Change posts explore some aspects of the global decarbonisation challenge. It’s a quick look—a little food for thought in the decades before we really get our act together on climate change. You can find clear explanations in the source articles, such as the IPCC report chapters, and links to these are provided at the end of each post.
The Links page will be curated more actively later, and will take in a wider range of perspectives.
The site will slowly sketch out a unique picture of the sustainability landscape, which is naturally messy and contested. I hope you find something of interest.
